I have always loved to make stories; I loved the worlds and most importantly the people who occupy those worlds.  As I grew up many things kept inspiring me to keep my nose to the paper drawing constantly while others at my school listened during classes.  It first started with the great Animation giants, Walt Disney and Pixar.  Their stories taught me morals and how to feel, and most importantly they helped me become the person I aspire to be every day.  As I got older, I started to expand my repertoire of movies.  And just like maturity, as I got older I wanted to see more mature, complex and thought provoking cinema.  I became a cinephile, learning everything I could about movies, actors, directors and cinematography.  I loved to learn about the different ways people could tell stories, so that maybe I could write my stories through film.  But it wasn’t until I saw Avengers that I was really inspired to create my visions through 3D.  When I saw that movie, it made me feel like a kid watching cartoons in the morning, but it was also something more than that.  It still had smart writing made for both children and adults alike.  The movie reminded me of my own stories; giving me the confidence that my stories could also be received well by others.  The Avengers showed me the visual effects side of cinema and how well 3D modeling can be integrated into live action.  It is the movie that really got me thinking about what 3D modeling and animation was and how I could use it for my own stories.

After getting started in college I soon found my niche in the animation side of 3D.  Through animation we the animators are like the actors that are never seen; we need to understand how the body moves and know how to keep the character alive through to smallest of movements.  I had always looked up to good acting within the movies I watched but I had never been able to act well in front of others, so being able to animate behind the scene was perfect for me.  Being an animator also allows me to direct the camera in a way that I think is best, giving me the chance to not only animate a good performance but to be able to move the camera dynamically and create interesting shots not easily done by hand.  I soon realized that 3D animation was the perfect way for me to visualize my stories, and gave me the confidence I needed to create my worlds the way I wanted them to be.  Eventually, I would like to create and animate my own stories that I can show to the world through the silver screen.
